Our ancestors were forced to fast due to the hunting and gathering lifestyle of not eating for long periods of time. This ancient method of weight control is perhaps the easiest and sneakiest method towards to losing Fat and improving your health.

Intermittent fasting is also the the latest and greatest trend in Fitness and Longevity.

Put simply you don’t eat for a fixed period of time then resume to your normal diet.

I perform a fast at least once a month.

I usually start on a Saturday night, I have my last meal for the night at around

630pm and I don’t eat anything for 24 hours.

I abstain from food but not from liquids.

I have zero calorie beverages for the most part, like water or diet soda.
Then on Sunday 630pm I break my fast and have a MASSIVE high calorie meal.  I reward myself by indulging in whatever I’m craving all day long.

Boy, do you really appreciate the taste of food after a not eating anything for 24 hours!

It’s actually much easier that it sounds. I usually get hungry around 2pm Sunday, but after ignoring my hunger feelings for about 30 mins it completely goes away and I have this feeling of alertness and clarity that is indescribable.

For those of you that know don’t me, I LOVE FOOD!  So doing an intermittent fast really helps me with my cravings and also makes me have gratitude for being able to eat and afford food, as well as  understanding the plight of a person stricken with poverty and starvation.

Throughout the years with my own personal weight loss transformation I realized that the major key is knowing the difference between true Hunger and a Craving.

Being in tune with your natural hunger pangs alone will keep your weight in a solid zone compared to any diet or exercise program out there.

The problem we face with over eating and obesity is when we succumb to our cravings and eat with our minds rather than our stomachs.

The benefits of Intermittent Fasting.

Major decrease in cholesterol

Increased fat loss, utilizing fat for Fuel

Increase in LifeSpan and it slows down the aging process

Removes Toxins

Reduces blood sugar and insulin levels

Increased growth hormone levels

Improved Alertness

Give it a shot, experiment with an intermittent fast on your next day off.

You will see that your body and mind will be just fine without food for a long period of time.

Don’t worry you won’t cause any damage or lose any of your muscle tone.
You also won’t go crazy either…

Here is my Experience with it, and as you can see I still have my Sanity…

Most of the time ; )

Thank you! finally someone that tells the truth and states that you CAN Fast and keep your muscle! I am sick of all these so called “trainers” saying your going to eat your muscle away from doing these things! I never had a problem with losing muscle when I fast and do tons of cardio to get lean, diet but at the same time train really heavy! thanks AJ
